WHAT IS RFID AND WHY RFID?

In a nutshell, Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a generic term that is used to describe a system that transmits the identity (in the form of a unique serial number) of an object or person wirelessly, using radio waves. It’s grouped under the broad category of automatic identification technologies.

  1. Use RFID if you want to wirelessly identify something without line of sight.
  2. Use RFID if you want a simple wireless means to store a small amount of information on things, and even better: change the information dynamically.
  3. Use RFID if you want a computing device but not humans to see the ID.
  4. Use RFID if you want a computing device to see an object from far away.

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING

At Makamat, BIM is used to ensure business intelligence for our clients, we take the process of generating and managing building data during its life cycle to the next level by ensuring the model is scalable throughout the lifespan of the project. The purpose of generating BIM models is to provide full indoor and outdoor visualizations, logistics planning, constructability analysis, clash detection and more. The project team would be able to visualize the design in a 3D manner instead of a flat 2D plan. We can go as far as producing a construction steps catalogue based on daily activities. Reverse Engineering

We can support clients that do not have any detailed drawings of their built structure to have as built 2D and 3D models. Those drawings would show the actual quantity of materials, type of materials, and indoor machinery size, shape and placement. Reverse Engineering with the MTC Laser Scanner aids building design at every stage of construction. With this 3D modeling tool project owners and consultants can compare the current 3D building status with the CAD model at any time – a quality control process which eliminates expensive and time-consuming rework.
